  3. intoBodmin is on the hunt for 4 directors to help us grow!

We are looking to appoint up to four board members in the Summer of 2022 to complement and strengthen the existing board structure. We are at a pivotal point for the organisation, and Bodmin more widely, and we recognise that to deliver the change and impact we desire, we need to do things differently.

This will be an open and transparent recruitment process, aimed to bring in a more diverse range of people who can bring new perspectives and diverse lived experience to our team.

The role of director is offered on an unpaid,  voluntary basis but we are able to offer reasonable expenses on a case-by-case basis e.g. access, travel and child care costs, where this is critical to enabling people to join the board.

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

You may not have worked in the community or cultural sector before and you may not have experience as a Director. That’s not a problem. We think people from all sectors and backgrounds have transferable skills and can be hugely valuable to our organisation. We are looking for individuals who are personally passionate about Bodmin, about culture and understand the transformative impact it can have on peoples lives.

For two of the roles we are looking for people with some industry experience, but for the other two, we hope to appoint:

    • Community Champions – people who live and breathe their Bodmin community. People who are engaged in Bodmin and want to make a difference. We are not looking for any formal experience, just lived experience of our town.
    • One of these roles is for someone under 25, who will be a voice and sounding board for our youth activity.

In terms of the roles where we are looking for skills, we are particularly interested to hear from people who have experience in the following areas, regardless of the context in which you have worked:

    • Business development and/or management
    • Marketing and PR
    • Cultural programming
    • Community Arts
