Echo Point is now beginning its next chapter in Bodmin.

Over the past few weeks, we have been listening closely to the town. Through conversations, questions, posters and community suggestions, people have shared the sounds that connect them to Bodmin familiar voices, passing footsteps, birdsong and the everyday noises that quietly make a place feel like home.

These sounds and stories are now helping shape Bodmin’s two Echo Points. Artist Justin Wiggan is creating a gentle soundscape inspired by what people have shared, building an audio experience that reflects the town’s many cultures, communities and ways of belonging.

But Echo Point is not designed to stand still.

The project and technology are being developed so the soundscape can continue to grow, shift and respond over time. New sounds, repeated suggestions and changing community voices can all help shape what Echo Point becomes next.

As Bodmin changes, Echo Point can listen, breathe and change with it.

The hope is to create a small moment of calm in the town — a place to pause, breathe, feel grounded, and hear something of Bodmin reflected back.

We are still gathering the sounds that make Bodmin feel calm, happy, familiar or like home. Scan the QR code in Polish, English or Portuguese and tell us what you would like to hear as part of EchoPoint.

Your suggestion could help shape the soundscape now and because the project is being developed to grow over time, new and repeated suggestions can continue to influence how EchoPoint changes with Bodmin.
