Open Circle Young Adults is a youth-led group in Bodmin, creating space for young people to speak up, connect, and take action on the issues that matter to them. Hosted at intoBodmin and facilitated by RJ Working and Rob Mennear (intoBodmin Community Creative Practitioner), the group meets monthly and is driven entirely by the ideas and voices of those involved.

Sessions are shaped using RJ Working’s creative, participatory approach using conversation, collaboration, and hands-on activity to support young people to explore their experiences, share perspectives, and turn ideas into action. It is an open, inclusive and safe space where everyone is welcome, heard and respected.

Already making an impact, the group was selected to be part of FLAMM Festival (Bodmin, February 2026), where they took over a shop space and delivered a series of interactive experiences including a podcast they recorded, edited, and shared themselves. They have now worked with a professional artist to create a series of bespoke posters, inspired by what was captured during FLAMM, which will be displayed across Bodmin.

The ambition is growing. This is about real voices, real ideas, and meaningful change, even if it starts small. If you care about your community and want to shape what happens next, come along and be part of it.

The Open Circle Bodcast | Podcast on Spotify

As part of Open Circle, we've created our very own podcast. From planning the questions to recording, editing and sharing each episode, it's been led by the group from start to finish.

The questions come from our own discussions and conversations happening across Bodmin, giving local people the chance to share their thoughts, ideas and experiences. You can listen on Spotify by scanning one of our QR codes and hear the voices helping shape these important community conversations.
