The Founder Supporters
Without these people, we wouldn't be here today. Thank you!
A community and arts organisation. Our mission is to enable individuals and communities to access cultural activity encouraging innovation, participation and partnerships. To bring vitality into the heart of the town and bring the communities together through accessible and inclusive spaces and activity. To see the community’s aspirations grow and inspire community pride in the place they live.
We do this through:
A fully accessible space at The Old Library for everyone in the community, the ‘pay what you feel’ café and venue create a level playing field for everyone to engage in creative activities and connect with others.
A seasonal programme of cultural experiences across Bodmin’s public spaces, attracting people back to the town centre and making it a more vibrant place to live.
Supporting and developing new artists and new work, with work in progress shows and scratch nights, that helps support access into the arts across the region.
Work with local organisations, community groups, associations and schools to widen access to cultural activity. (Not sure you need to list them)
Support new community ideas to flourish with resources, space and support. These include setting up new groups, facilitating new collaborations and championing new local projects.
To revitalise Bodmin through celebrating culture and empowering communities.
To enable individuals and communities to access cultural activity encouraging innovation, participation and partnerships. To bring vitality into the heart of the town and bring the communities together through accessible and inclusive spaces and activity. To see the community’s aspirations grow and inspire community pride in the place they live.
To develop a thriving and diverse cultural programme across Bodmin’s public spaces, attracting audiences from across the community.
To put the community at the centre of cultural development to create a positive change in community cohesion, wellbeing and pride.
To run a sustainable social enterprise that makes a difference, is innovative and generates sustainable income.
From small beginnings, we're growing a community hub for Bodmin's communities that will be a resource for everyone.
intoBodmin was formed in 2017 in response to the closing of the Public Rooms and the sale of the public library building, which threatened to leave a void in the town for community access to cultural events, activities and public gatherings. We couldn't let that happen.
intoBodmin was initially created through Arts Council funding to create and deliver a series of arts projects across Bodmin, including large-scale concerts in St Petroc’s Church, a digital projection and animation project with local primary schools, festivals, and the creation of a new cafe, community and arts space in The Old Library.
Our work's only just getting started - and we want your help to build intoBodmin in the direction that the community wants and needs.
