A window installation in the Bodmaxx Studio (81b Fore Street) for intoBodmin’s Window Wanderland project. The installation is based around the theme of ‘3 Wise Beings’, which is an adaptation of the 3 Wise Men. As well as being a beautiful gallery exhibition, it’s also a participatory project where people are invited to come into the Bodmaxx space and say who their ‘3 Wise Beings’ would be in their lives, in Bodmin and in the world – which will then be added onto the running video in the window.

There’s Live 3D printing in the installation (by 3D Printing Cornwall) and a lot of the set, including the fruits, have been made from this technology. The monitors are also portraying the journeys of the 3 Wise Men and how they could have potentially travelled to Bodmin eg over sea, via the Beacon etc. This installation is a collaboration between FDA Digital Media Students & Graduates and Bec from Bodmaxx.

The BodMAXX Christmas Craft Fair

BodMAXX are hosting two Christmas markets in their community studio on Fore Street (81b: The Old Threshers) on Wednesday 8th December (3pm -7pm) and Saturday 11th December (11am-3pm). Shop local this Christmas and explore the talent of small Bodmin businesses and traders. There’s a range of beautiful handmade products available to buy for your Christmas presents this year at the Craft Fair: Choose from candles, jewellery, clothing, macrame art, photography prints, crochet hats and toys, and yummy treats.
