Bodmin’s Christmas Pop Up Workshop!
The Elves have landed in Bodmin Town with Craft & Story Telling Fun!
Take a lesson in Elfing around, create some Christmassy craft take-aways and use the direct postal service which goes straight to Santa.
What is an Elf workshop anyway?
Okay, so you get to get an insight into what Elves do in their workshop, you get to make some crafty Christmassy stuff (and get to take it away), and there’s a letter to Santa (hopefully it’ll get there…), there might also be a few laughs and reindeer poo* (*parental warning!)
Where can I find the elf workshop?
Elf HQ is at 14 Fore St, Bodmin
When should I turn up?
Elf HQ will be open from 26th Nov to 23rd Dec. Use the link to book your session.
Can I just rock up and pay on the door?
If you want to risk it for a Christmassy ginger biscuit, but best to book in advance to avoid the inevitable enormous disappointment this will create when there aren’t any spaces available.
Are the elves real?
Of course they are.
Are they naughty elves?
Have you ever met one that isn’t?
What age group is it for?
The sessions are aimed at 10 yrs and under.
How much does it cost?
The cost is £6 per child. Adults by donation.
I really want my kids to do this but I just don’t feel I can afford it AND buy Christmas Crackers this year.
We don’t want you to go without, you can email headelf@intobodmin.co.uk and ask to have some of the free spaces we’ll release across the Elf residency booked for you, Head Elf will then offer you some time slots dependent on your requirements and numbers available on each session.
I’m a grown up and want to bring some children but bound not to enjoy it, is that why it’s free to adults?
We’re asking for donations from adults, so please bring some cash to pay the Elves or they’ll make sure you don’t get any presents this year, not even socks. Donations are pay what you feel. It’ll also mean that we can subsidise more places for families that might be struggling at the mo.
We want to buy tickets for two children but bring Granny, Grandad, Auntie Doris and Great Uncle Roy is with us this year, if he hasn’t drunk too much.
We’d love for the whole family to come, hey, bring the goldfish, but there are limited spaces for each session, please don’t book more that two adults per family group if possible, or there’ll be less spaces for other children. Dogs and Goldfish won’t be permitted we’re afraid, Elves have allergies.
This looks wicked, my son, just like the baby Jesus has his birthday at Christmas and we’d like to have a private event for our friends and family
Great idea, why didn’t we think of that? We’ll do everything we can to help but will have to negotiate a slot with the Elves in their busy, busy schedule, email headelf@intobodmin.co.uk with your request and what you want, and we’ll price it up for you.
Prams, buggies etc?
Yep, there’ll be spaces for some child chariots, plus places to put wet weather gear. Please don’t bring an actual chariot.
I don’t have a chariot but I do need to get there by car.
If you really must come by car, here’s some info on parking https://www.bodmin.gov.uk/services/car-parking/
I’m notoriously early to everything, what happens if I turn up early?
We love it that you’re keen, however, if you turn up early you risk being stood in the elements until the space opens, which is five mins prior to the advertised start time, have a wonder around the shops, or bring a kazoo and entertain the street? The sign on the door will let know when we’re open.
I’m notoriously late to everything, what happens if I turn up stylishly late?
Please don’t mess with the Elves, try to turn up on time, they won’t think that you’re stylish and they might make an example of you, entry will be at their discretion – to be honest I wouldn’t risk it if I were you. The sign on the door will let you know when a session has commenced.
I’ve got some last minute bits to pick up, can I leave the children with you whilst I nip up town?
Children must be supervised by you, if not their growth will be stunted and they will be posted direct to Lapland, there’s a national shortage of Elves at the minute. So think on.
Will there be reindeer poo?
Yep.
