Halloween 2022 and Beyond!

In 2021 Bodmin had an amazing Halloween Parade and there has been lots of interest in keeping it running – Enter the OG.

The point of the OG is to build a group of people that can make sure the Halloween Parade happens next year and the years after.  In fact, a few of you worked on the parade last year, so that’s already a great start.

To that end, we will learn the basic principles of event creation and production.  And by using the actual production of this year’s Halloween parade as a practical example, we will have a real project to work on.  By the time the parade is done, you will have gained the knowledge and hands-on experience to put it on again, and your own events, or even get a job helping others do the same.

All sessions will be held at BodMaxx, 81b fore street, and there will be an evening meal provided. (let me know any dietary requirements asap)

Do not feel bad if you can’t make a session, or if you can only come to one.   Also please spread the word about these sessions by sharing this post, as the more people the very much better.  Feel free to bring anyone you like.

I’ve lined up some guests to talk about their experiences. we have Dickie and Hannah from poetry night, Sprout Spoken (how their events have grown), Jess the General Manager from Bodmin Jail (the corporate perspective), Nick Rutherford from Junior Jungle (music-based events and working at festivals), and Fin from intoBodmin (the publicly funded perspective).  There may be others too.
