Community Garden
With space outside to eat and drink in warmer weather, and raised beds and to cultivate and care for, our constantly evolving community garden is another space that focuses on nurturing and nourishing our community.
Here at The Old Library, we are doing our bit to transform our little part of the planet: taking our currently empty backyard and creating our own little Eden, to be filled with edible flowers and abundant vegetables. We're envisioning a garden which will inspire people to get outside, get talking, learning and growing together.
The Old Library's Community Garden is located just at the back of the building - with level access and woodchippings so it's easy to get to.
Starting back in May 2020, a couple of volunteers set about getting this space in order to create a productive veg garden and outdoor seating area.
Since then, it's grown into a lovely space for socialising, relaxing, and creating.
