Room Hire at The Old Library
The Old Library is a vibrant arts and community space in the centre of Bodmin.
With a licensed café/bar open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm, superfast wifi, and wheelchair access throughout, and a range of hireable meeting and event spaces, we offer an exciting multi-purpose venue.
The building is 24 hour access and therefore provides the opportunity for hire on evenings and weekends. There are staff available Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm. We have three spaces available for private room hire, further information and hire rates are below.
The Reading Room
£25 per half day (9am-12.30pm or 1pm-4.30pm) or £50 per day
Ground Floor | Accessible | Max Capacity 12 boardroom or 18 theatre
The Reading Room is a separate room to the café on the ground floor, and offers a large, bright, flexible space that can be used for talks, workshops and meetings.
The room has original features and historic charm, and can comfortably seat 18 people in rows, or 12 people around tables. It's ideal for small gatherings such as training days, committee meetings, small group creative activities, or baby groups.
The Study
£25 per half day (9am-12.30pm or 1pm-4.30pm) or £50 per day
First Floor | Accessible via lift | Capacity 8 to 12 people
The Meeting Room is on the first floor, and offers a private space that can be used for meetings, classes and workshops.
The room has original features and historic charm, and can comfortably seat 8-10 people around a table. It's ideal for committee meetings, 1:1 meetings or small group creative activities.
The Cafe/Stage & Bar
£50 per half day (9am-12.30pm or 1pm-4.30pm or 6pm)
Ground Floor | Accessible | Max Capacity 36 cafe style or 60 theatre |
This is our largest room, and has multiple uses, from a cafe to a performance space, film screening, workshop space or event venue. It can be set up in rows of seats, groups of tables, or an open space for dancing!
The space includes a raised stage and performance area, sound system and projector, lighting and of course the café and bar facilities.
Please note that availability is very limited to either evenings or weekends.
Co-working and Hot Desks
£15 per day / £100 per month
First Floor | Accessible
The Old Library is a hub for like-minded professionals in need of an independent, friendly and creative work space. We have desks available to hire on a fixed or flexible basis in our bright, spacious co-working space. To find out more about our offer please visit our co-working page
