Debora Terreiros Profile: Volunteering to build skills

We were lucky enough that Debora asked to volunteer with us to gain professional experience to help build her portfolio. Debora has been photographying a diverse range of activities and subjects at The Old Library, including performances, art and gardening groups, food shots and the wider goings on in the building.

Debora has said that this has been great for her confidence and trying new subject matter. You can see some of her images on our website and facebook page and her personal work is on Instagam, @debora.terreiros.photography. Give her a follow!

Debora moved to Bodmin from Portugal as a young child. She’s currently a 3rd year student at Plymouth College of Art studying BA photography. Debora is a contemporary photographer, she likes to explore themes that are personal to her such as her own experiences and wider social issues, her current project is on body image and her own struggle with it. Debora’s final year show centres on these themes, if you’re in Exeter in May 2022 visit The Positive Lights Project to see The Lighthouse Collectives work and other students in the collective.

Debora finishes her degree in May and hopes to continue to build her portfolio and to get into property photography.
